Assignment #7 Liz
Amir has changed a lot since his childhood, becoming much more brave. When he was told by Rahin Khan that Hassan was his illegitimate half brother, although he escapeed at first, after a struggle, he built up his mind to bring Sohrab to Kabul. The other example is that in Jalalabad, he didn't avoid the Baba's secret. He was brave enough to admit that Hassan was Baba's love child. He is different from his childhood at this point, instead of run away. However, he is still very concerned about Hassan, which is the same as the past. The first example is that in Rahin Khan's house, he gave Amir Hassan's letter and photograph. Amir read the letter twice and looked at the photo for a long time, showing that how valued were this two stuffs to him. And when he showed the Polaroid to Wahid, he noted, "Seeing Hassan's picture again tore the fresh scab off his death. I had to turn my eyes away from it." These two examples both shows the fact that Hassan is still one of the most important persons in Amir's heart.

Good job, Liz! That is a powerful quote that you use and it does show how much Amir & Hassan are still connected.
